 The NBBQA Awards of Excellence are a long-running award series that recognizes excellence in the commercial side of the barbecue industry. Only products available in stores and on-line are eligible to enter. NBBQA was founded in 1991and helps start-ups, established businesses, and industry partners succeed faster and make fewer mistakes through regular peer-to-peer Special Interest Groups (SIGs), networking, education, events, publications, advocacy, and involvement. NBBQA is the only not-for-profit 501(c)(6) trade association focusing on all key segments of the barbecue and grilling industry, including restaurants, catering, food trucks, product manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers.
This year was our first time to enter the Awards of Excellence and we are very fortunate to get recognized with a Second Place Award in the Best Pork Rub category and a Third Place Award in the Best Video Series category.

We are happy to announce that every Ace Hardware store in the US can now order our Badass BBQ Boosts through their Ace Hardware system.
They might not have the rubs on the shelves, but if you ask your local Ace Hardware store they can order it and have it available to you in a couple of days. We are sending out info to let the stores know about these news as well. So far, every Ace Hardware store in AZ, NM, UT and NV have received the information. We are very appreciative of this partnership with Old World Spices and Ace Hardware.  Unfortunately our highly anticipated Big Swede BBQ Badass Texas Boost will be delayed a couple of weeks due to two production issues. The first issue was the labels - the wood background which should be light brown/beige came back dark gray/green from our printers. Tabco has recognized the issue and will be reprinting all the labels.
The second issue is some unexpected caking in the fill-test. We received 50 bottles from our awesome manufacturer Old World Spices and Seasonings and in all of these we could notice severe caking. The caking does not affect the taste or the flavor of the rub in any ways but we only want to put out a high-quality product. Production is therefor delayed until we have identified the root cause of the issue. We will keep all our #badassboosters updated with a new delivery date. |
